Ditte about herself:

I have a background as a physical performer and actress. And was educated as a theatredirector from the State Theatre School in Copenhagen, after which I worked as a free-lancedirector, teacher and being active in theatrepolitics on many levels. Since 2002 I have worked solely on reseach-based documentary themes, working with themes as integration, democrazy, consumption and immigration at small as well as institutional theatres in Denmark. I often work with a mix of actors and non-actors - and I work with strategies of interaction with the audience.
Since the summer 07 I have been artistic curator at Camp X - a new international and contemporary theatre in Copenhagen, with the profile of “challenging the concept of theatre”.
As curator I made an agenda: http://www.campx.dk/Dagsorden.aspx for the first 2 years. The Camp X project and the idea of curator have been the subject of a lot of resistance and discussion in the Danish press and seems to end this summer. But I still believe in theatre to be a mean of social communication and intervention and I believe strongly in cooperation with activism, contemporary art and progressive thinkers of filosophy, economy and sociology.
